Bayardo Hannon Jirón is a certified jewelry professional

with a lifetime of industry experience. 

Mr. Jirón is a third generation of family jewelers, with history in fine jewelry design and craftsmanship dated as far back as 1940 in Managua, Nicaragua. The Jirón's family has served Southern Louisiana since 1980. 

Mr. Bayardo Jirón is a Graduate Gemologist (GG) from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and one of only 600 American Gem Society (AGS) Certified Gemologist Appraisers (CGA) in the United States and Canada.

In addition, Mr. Jirón has a degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) and Finance.

The American Gem Society (AGS) is a highly selective professional organization that holds members of the jewelry industry accountable to high ethical standards, gemological knowledge and experience, and consumer protection. 

Certified Gemologist Appraiser American Gem Society® title is the most highly regarded in the industry. Earning the CGA title requires additional advanced training and experience in determining the value of gemstones and jewelry. 

All CGA titleholders also must pass annual recertification exams to maintain this prestigious title. 

Our production and quality control manager is Mrs. Anabel Jirón.

She is at the heart of our system.

Among other responsibilities, she oversees all steps in production, quality and ensure that all customer's request for services are met on time.

We have full time master jewelers

who works closely with and are supervised by Mr. Hannon.

They are the artisans trained in fine art of creating jewelry in the Old World Craftsmanship style.

On the retail floor, our staff includes Ms. Jessica Cairo. Ms. Cairo is a trained jewelry professional. She has GIA training with a diploma in Diamonds. She is also a a Certified Sales Associate with the America Gem Society.

Ms. Cairo has successfully completed the Graduate Sales Associate course and The AGS Professional module. This designation also requires the successful completion of an annual Re certification Exam.

Debbie Douglas is our business manager. Mrs. Douglas is also a veteran and experienced professional in the jewelry industry with more than twenty years in management and assisting customers

with their jewelry needs.

HANNON ACCREDITED GEM LABORATORY

Hannon Jewelers also provides our customers with a welcoming and professional environment.  An Accredited Gem Laboratory is a special designation awarded only to a qualifying AGS member firms that have proven their dedication to professional gemological identification in accordance with the Membership Standards of the AGS.  Hannon Jewelers Gem Lab contains gemological equipment and reference materials in a dedicated space for research and analytical purposes.
