When Disney set out to make their new original series National Treasure: Edge of History, they reached out to Hannon Jewelers to help them bring the magic of their story to life.

Based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Hannon Jewelers is a family-owned jeweler with a long tradition of handcrafting custom jewelry. Utilizing their expertise in crafting creative custom jewelry designs, Hannon Jewelers created pieces that play an integral role in the story of the new Disney+ action-adventure series.

National Treasure: Edge of History is a continuation of the National Treasure film series. Edge of History tells the story of Jess Valenzuela, a young woman from Baton Rouge who discovers her late father was part of a secret network of treasure protectors. Her adventure is set in motion when a mysterious stranger gives her a clue to a centuries-old treasure after noticing the symbol on a medallion Jess inherited from her father.

The culture of Baton Rouge features heavily in the new Disney+ series. Screenwriters Cormac and Marianne Wibberley told 225 Magazine they chose Baton Rouge for its unique history and “mythical” qualities. Marianne expressed their desire to make the city an important part of the series, describing it as “a tour of Baton Rouge, a love letter” to the city.

With three generations of experience in old-world artisan craftsmanship and over four decades serving the local community in Baton Rouge, Hannon Jewelers was a natural fit to create the jewelry for National Treasure: Edge of History. Known in the area for its creative designs and exceptional craftsmanship, Hannon Jewelers had the historical background and technical capabilities required to craft the unique pieces used in the series.

Hannon Jewelers created multiple custom designs for National Treasure: Edge of History, including Jess Valenzuala’s pivotal medallion pendant. Hannon Jewelers also created the Freemason ring worn by former FBI agent Peter Sadusky. Sadusky is played by Harvey Keital, who reprises his role from the original National Treasure film series.

The custom jewelry created for National Treasure: Edge of History can be seen in the series, now streaming only on Disney+.
